The power of sleep

Sometimes I go to bed with creative thoughts and ideas that bother me, things that I can’t quite work out, things that I’m not too sure about. Obstacles. But by the morning I have ideas, I find solutions. That’s the power of sleep. Sleep is where I find my inspiration.

I go shopping in my activewear

Have you noticed an increase in people wearing activewear in Sainsbury’s, on the Underground, collecting kids from school… pretty much anywhere. And none of them have actually been to or are even thinking about going to the gym or doing any form of workout whatsoever.

It’s a weird trend that’s happening, people wearing running tights and trainers as general attire to do everyday mundane things.

Can’t get enough of Japanese sewing books

I don’t even remember how my love affair with Japanese sewing books started. My first Japanese Sewing book was a gift from my sister. She had seen it on my Pinterest ‘Wish List’ board, right next to the no colour, no flavour, plain, tasteless, minimalist packaging Nihilist Toothpaste.

She obviously assumed I’d prefer the sewing book to the toothpaste for Christmas.

If only you could feel fabric through your computer/mobile/tablet [delete as appropriate], then you would know how heavenly this navy jersey is. You may just see navy blue, knit fabric, which looks no different from any other navy blue knit fabric but it’s not something you can see, it’s only something you can feel.
