Twas the week before Christmas, and we left the house
One person home and that was my spouse…
Yep, we left him all alone and he sure was pleased with a bit peace and quiet for a few hours. We (Darcy, Scout and I) were off on a ‘Make Day’ at my sister’s house and with us we took:
- a pile of fabric
- an insane amount of zips
- my Bernina sewing machine

For most of us, the change in season means a change in our wardrobes. Put away your racerback vests, your light floaty dresses and cover those legs up.
But if, like Darcy, you are in denial about it being cold and you’re determined to keep those shorts on for as long as possible, just pop on some cosy tights, long socks or warm leggings. Add a warm jacket and voilà, an instant autumn look is born from a pair of seemingly summer shorts.
Cute panda fabric is not something I would usually be drawn to, but the quality of this fabric lured me in. It’s soft, very warm and super snuggly, and that’s why Darcy claimed it for herself as soon as she laid eyes on it.
She’s far too cool to even consider wearing pandas in the street, she’s 9 after all and 9 year olds don’t wear pandas. At least that’s what she thought.
Welcome to Day 6
Sadly this is the last day of Madeit Fashion Week. We have had a blast.
The most stunning outfits hit the runways over the last few days and the participants showed that their creative talents did not end at sewing.
